As odd as this may sound, try a pumpkin ale or a chile lager.

They sound disgusting, and believe me, even though I have personally logged taste testing over 400 different beers, they sounded disgusting to me.

The pumpkin ale will smell like pumpkin pie and as a matter of fact, they use the same ingredients to put in the beer. However, the taste is nothing like a pumpkin pie, just a nice smooth beer.

The chile beer smells like beer and looks like beer, but they ferment a red/green/yellow chile with the beer. You taste it and it has a mild hotness to it, like you would expect. After a couple of sips, it becomes very addicting.

Give those a try and see how you like them. Much better than the ole regulars that everyone else is mentioning. There are others you can try to find such as hemp beer, chocolate beers, coffee beers. Most contests call them specialty beers. You just have to look past the name and you will be very hooked on some odd sounding beers that taste very good!

I am a Guinness fan. I prefer any dark beers over normal domestics.
If you like really hoppy beer, try an India Pale Ale, what's known as an IPA.
If you like a heavy tasting beer, get a lager or porter.
Check for some local Micro Brews or Micro Brews that can be purchased in your local grocery store. These usually offer some unique flavors and can come in variety packs, so you can have more options and try a few different types.

Favourite beer atm is Corona. Mexican beer drank from the bottle with a wedge of lime shoved into the neck of the bottle. Easy drinking and sharp taste.

gosh, I know I am gonna screw the spelling up, but I believe it's called Psorr Weiss. It is a German beer. It's wheaty and wonderful and they often put a slice of lemon in it. I also like Blue Moon, on tap preferably with an orange slice. Sapporo is an excellent beer, Japanese I think. I also just like a good old fashioned Coors Light.

World-famous San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen---A pale golden lager with pleasant, clean, hoppy finish. A well-balanced medium body, lively and snappy with a distinct bitter hop character that slides smoothly on the palate.

Black Butte Porter by the Dechuttes Brewery in Oregon, or Blue Heron IPA, Moose Drool is pretty good too but I don't know the brewery that makes it. The Sierra Nevada Brewery beers are really good too.

I have quite a few: Singha from Thailand, Kirin Ichiban from Japan, Corona from Mexico. The world's first pilsner is Pilsner Urquell. USA's oldest brewery is Yuengling, from Pottstown, PA.
