The only problem with taking over Mexico is that not all Mexicans want to be Americans, most just want the perks of being here illegally instead of fixing their own government. What's the solution??

Is there anything in Mexico we really want? Its filthy (yes I have been there several times, in different locations) Its a place where you have to watch you wallet constantly, the bars are creepy, you cant leave your car parked anywhere....why in the hell would we want to take it over?
Close the borders and quit letting anyone in. cut off trade to mexico and let them become self sufficient for a decade and then look at it all over again.
Tell mexico that our tourists cannot come visit, no trade of any kind can happen, no illegals will be given any aid here of any kind for 10 years. If the US sees mexico has made steps to better itself we will help in some ways.
Mexico isnt some poor little country like they make themselves out to be. Mexican government knows they can get richer because they keep their people under water and feeling worthless and like America is where they need to be. The immigrants come here work and send money, big money home to mexico and its worth sometimes double triple or more than the money there and so it is more money to put in the politicians pockets. There is just so much involved. But unless America gets as ugly with Mexico as it has with other countrys the crap wont stop. America is just weird.

No, we should not take over Mexico.
What we should do is build the fence. Along with the fence there should be cameras and sensors in the ground to detect tunneling. Then hire some more border patrol agents or put the national guard on the border. Those caught trying to enter into the U.S. illegally should be giving one warning to turn around. If they continue then we shoot. It's time the U.S. got tough with it's borders.

We can't annex Mexico into the union, most Mexicans don't want to be Americans, true, they just want the benefits that Americans have, a military take over in the near future due to the civil war in Mexico, or possible civil war in America over immigration, one way or another Mexico-US-Canada will become one nation by 2020.

No we shouldn't take over Mexico. The whole problem with illegal immigration and the North American Union is that it would ruin our own services and schools to 'lift' Mexico up to the US/Canadian standard of living.
Yet they have oil and some of the richest people in the world there. There is no excuse for them not having universal education in my opinion. THEY should pay for it for their people.

We should at least annex Mexico, then we can work on repairing their infrastructure. The people of Mexico would probably rather stay in their country if they could find decent jobs and living conditions. The corrupt Mexican government can't seem too provide them with this.

Have you lost your mind? We don't take good enough care of the people in our own country let alone inheriting a completely new set of issues altogether.
The reason most Mexicans come here is our economy. In the U.S. there are more unskilled/labor type jobs than there are people to fill them.

The solution is for our country to concern itself with its own problems. Let Mexico deal with its own (They are overdue for a revolution) internal problems.
The U.S. needs to achieve border control by removing our troops from ALL foreign countries. Return the troops to the U.S., station them along the entire U.S. border and put a stop to intrusions by drug smugglers, immigrant smugglers, etc.
The U.S. is expending billions of dollars (Iraq & Afghanistan) to achieve control in foreign countries, but ignores its own needs?
