I've lived in NYC my whole life, and cannot imagine living anywhere else. I travel quite a bit, and have not found another city that even comes close to the level of access that is found here.
Everything that you want - arts, shopping, eating, drinking - is all right at your fingertips and probably open late at night!
Rents might be expensive, but you can also make more money here, so it evens out.

New York truly is the greatest city in the world on so many levels I wouldn't even know where to start. As for living anywhere else in the US, it's a cliche but it's one of the greatest countries to live in, if not the greatest. Good luck!

No doubt ---living in New York City is beyond GREAT! Here, the world is right outside your door. All the shopping, restaurants, museums, shows, architecture, art, concerts, and the greatest diversity of people are right here. I love New York, and whenever I travel to other countries, I miss home terribly and I am reminded over and over of how blessed I am to live in this great nation, and in this great city!

It depends on your life style right now... but I think it is a unforgettable experience... I lived in NYC for 9 years and I think it is the best place to live -- So far I've been in 12+ countries and counting...

It's VERY expensive, the rents are insane, but you can pretty much do anything you want any time of day. Lots to see and do, lots of cultural diversity. Best to live outside the city and take the train in when you want to visit!

I thought I was tired of the NYC lifestyle until I left over Christmas vacation and realized without a doubt that it is the greatest place in the world, and I should stop taking it for granted.
It is wonderful, and it is home. :)

Do you have alot of money because you will need alot of that ,if not i would suggest that you do not move there.
