If you weren't arrested and no fingerprints were taken then there is no problem.
Were you given a copy of the 5090 search form?
Did the police give you a warning for the cannabis? If so then don't worry, everyone's happy. The officer has got a stop slip to hand in and a detection for cannabis, (although due to the paperwork involved, it's likely he just settled for the 5090).
Sounds to me like that cannabis is making you a little paranoid... maybe you should be thinking about knocking it on the head mate!

The police do not take kindly to being lied to. If you only had a small amount of cannabis for you they would have probably let you off with a smack on the wrist.
If nothing else was said to you by the police, ie; an arrest, etc, then just leave it. In the future, be honest as it will only come back to get you.

Misrepresentation as to identity
When a suspect provides false details to an officer - whether it involves giving a false name, date of birth, address or a combination of the three. In the absence of any other aggravating features, it is unlikely that it will be appropriate to charge perverting the course of justice in the following circumstances:-
Giving a false name in circumstances in which no-one else is exposed to the risk of prosecution
The attempt to avoid prosecution is inevitably doomed to failure
The misrepresentation is discovered before a significant period of time has elapsed.
In these circumstances, the alternative offences of wasting police time may be appropriate. I don't think they will persue it,but watch out if you are seen or stopped again!!!

How they going to find you? unless the residents at your old address know where you live now. If they where going to arrest you they would have done it there an then. I'm sure they wont do anything because you had a small quantity and its for your own use. I think you would have been in trouble had you had a larger quantity. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If you have misled the police you have already committed another offence. Did you not have a sheet of paper given to you by the police, if so I would call at the police station and tell them that you was not truthful about your details when they questioned you as you was in a bit of a shock when you was stopped by them. Honesty is the best policy. They may just caution you.
If you need any further help regarding the police, then go to.

hmmm do they have anyway of tracking you? Your real name? Telephone number? ID?
If not I say you got away with it.....
If they have your name then they may look for you....depends how bored they are....did they caution you or just let you go?
If you had a caution then lying about address is a lot more serious then if they just let you go as they will not persue the matter further if the just let you go..if they gave you a caution they need to send paperwork etc which needs your address etc with it.
I have no idea what being malaysian has to do with anything...you could say that you lied as you felt they were intimidating you racially.....

If you gave them false details how are they going to find you to chase it up?
Don't worry people do it all the time. They got better things to do than fill out paperwork for your minor offence.
Just be more careful and hope you dont get stopped by the same cop again.

I don't know the full details of what has exactly gone on, but it's the quickest way to get yourself arrested giving false details. Don't be so stupid next time (that's if you get away with it this time).
