I like United; they have a good number of destinations and are scheduled at a decent time. The fares are also affordable.

Virgin Atlantic. I just completed my third transatlantic trip with them this year. The staff are great, they flights are on time, the aircraft are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Their entertainment system is years ahead of domestic airlines, I used to fly United because they are convenient to me, but although they were roomy they had terrible entertainment. I even like the food on Virgin. They have also continued to upgrade their aircraft.
For domestic long-haul I prefer Jet-Blue, I have flown to Boston and JFK with them recently, again they have good entertainment and well maintained aircraft.
For domestic short-haul I prefer Southwest, they give at least as good service as the other short haul airlines for less money, their staff tend to be amusing, their pilots fly their landings all the time and they only fly one type so their ground and maintenance crews know exactly what they are doing.

Delta Air Lines.
They fly really great aircraft (B757), their planes look nice, and they're just a really great airline. I have flown with them many times, and I prefer flying Delta to any other airline. In fact, this summer, I'm going on a trip; I could have taken American Airlines for $10 less, and it would have landed at LGA 10 minutes earlier, but I opted for Delta, because they're better!
(Also, for AAdvantage, you need to be at least 18 years old. Delta doesn't have that requirement, so I fly with them and get SkyMiles!)
(However, if I can't fly Delta, I'll go for American, than US Airways, than JetBlue. But in the end, I'll just take whatever's cheapest.)

Chris H could be me, or visa versa. I love Virgin Atlantic, flew them trans-atlantic in 2005, and it was a bit cramped, but the food and entertainment made up for it. And, for domestic flights, I like jetblue, however, I heard that Virgin group is starting a new domestic airline - Virgin America - so jetblue may have some competition on the horizon.

I would certainly say Emirates Airlines because of their good service on board and they operate the best fleet in aviation.

Most definately Emirates Airlines....
It offers spectacular arrangements/services for first class and business passengers. It also flies worldwide...(except for South America) yet. They plan to expand not only their fleet but also their destinations.
