A lot of people say "bathroom" now - at the end of the day, if "toilet" is rude then ask for bathroom. Powder my nose can have unfortunate implications - alternatively ask for the "conveniences" or the "water closet". Or say "my bowels are full"

Just say excuse me to someone and ask where the toilets are
or
If I am at dinner somewhere..then I would ask if could use the bathroom please?
Just asking where the loos are is too common depending on who you are asking and what the situation is at the present time..
Powdering your nose is far too cheesy..

I say I do believe one is requiring the use of the little boys room.
Failing that you could say,
I'm dying for a piss, wheres the bog
Oh no the turtles head is coming out.
Am bursting for a slash wheres the pisser
I could go on all day but my teas ready (by the way this has nothing to do with the loo)

I would say excuse me if I knew where to go. If not I would ask where the Ladies or "powder room" [since you are a lady] is, or in my case, the Gent's. Even in a private home this will work. and sounds better than "I gotta P*** like mad, where's the Loo?"

individuals say they are going to the showering room or restroom in well mannered society. united statesa. isn't comparable to the ecu, through fact we purely say "lavatory" whilst pertaining to the easily place you take a seat and poop, not whilst pertaining to the ROOM the lavatory is in. Restroom is a lot greater well mannered than announcing bathing room. I continuously concept WC sounded cool, yet you may't use that throughout the time of united statesa..

Yes, the term 'Loo' is the most polite in company with whom you are well aquainted ie, friends, familly. However in new company to say 'Excuse me whilst i visit the mens room, go to the ladies is accaptable'. It depends HOW formal you want to be! During an audience with the Queen, you'd probably just say 'Would you excuse me for a moment?' !

If you know where the bathroom (toilet, loo, coakroom, whatever) is just say, "Please excuse me for a moment."
If you don't know where it is, simply asking for the location of the Loo or Toilet is completely appropriate. It conveys the need and requests directions with a single request.

"Oh do excuse me" then leave. Unless you're at school or something where I expect the kids will just throw things at you - then I'm afraid the best way is shout out "Oi, I need a slash!" You have plenty of time to have manners later!

"I'm just popping off to the loo" is one I have heard used. Or just leave without telling anybody. Why would they want to know anyway?
Or you could say "I'll be right back" generally people will under stand.
