For instance, when someone asks you out on a date or for your phone number, and you dont fancy them but you dont wanna hurt their feelings, how do you let them down and avoid them becoming aggressive?

Tell them your not interested. I get stuff like that all the time. When you play bass in a popular band woman think they can just jump you and you'll be willing. I'm married and very happily so.

Be honest but gentle.If you wish to be friends with them,tell them you'd like to be just friends.Things could change between you at a later date.It happend to me last year,and it's been the best relationship of my life.She's totally HOT and I'm NOT.

Be honest. Tell them your not interested, but you wouldn't mind being friends. Chances are, the person in question will settle for any kind of relationship with you.

Well i usually say something along the lines of " sorry but I'm taken " or "not lookin right now thanks" or " sorry but I'm interested in or pursuing someone else right now" something along those lines it works for me.
