Restaurant Chinese food is usually extremely greasy/oily. Real Chinese food isn't. But real Chinese food isn't available at restaurants really. Everything's Americanized, ie. more oil, more salt, everything that makes you fat. Even the Chinese cook books here are really fake.

It depends on what you eat. General Tso's chicken is not healthy at all. That entree has one of the highest grams of fat per serving of any entree. There is a lot of sodium in a lot of the dishes also.
You can eat very healthy Chinese food or very fattening Chinese food.

Chinese or Asian foods are very healthy, in moderation, but the best thing to do is to or a plate of food and avoid the buffet. Also keep in mind that Asians tend to add MSG to their dishes and this has a lot of sodium in it, so you might when ordering your dish ask them not to add MSG to it.

Oriental food is not as fattening and they do not overcook their vegetables.
Just don't go to the all you can eat buffet. Overeating is the scourge of any diet.
