Because the old message has been corrupted by those who can't stand the idea that God is unconditionally loving and cares about everyone equally.
For this reason the new true message that has not yet been corrupted sounds like heresy. After the profit is gone they get to work correcting his pure message to conform to their own personal set of fears and biases.
This is perciesly what happened to the message of Jesus and to Gods word in the bible.

Good Question. They are away from this worldly trouble and where we are one day going to go ! Those who respect the old never kill the other, one who deny others kill those appear in their time. Secondly, the old one had passed away and hence not disturbing his life presently, but one who live with him disturbs him in various ways which makes them to kill. IN the whole paying tribute to the old is also wrong. denying and killing the lifes is also wrong. I prefer good or bad pray for all

People seem to undermine the dignity of a person they are seeing actually, that the person has weaknesses and living as they are : eating, sleeping, doing things as they are. And if prophet speaks the truth contrary to what people want, that is the time they want to kill the prophet.

Because they lost the time of their visitation, & even Jesus said a Prophet is not honor in his own country. There is Prophets Today, Read Ephesians 4:11-17 & see for what purpose & how long they are to be here.

If you are talking about the Jews, the scriptures say that they killed the prophets and when the Son was sent they killed Him too.

because the old messages can be faked to serve the interests of the rich and the strong, while prophets were surrounded by young, poor, and weak people.
