When you bring up Windows Task Manager and then click the PROCESSES tab, you can see what your puter is running, right? Well how do you get rid of the excess stuff, or is that wise to do? For instance, I have 9 instances of "svchost.exe" running. Isn't that my interenet service and why are there so many? Some say NETWORK, some say SYSTEM and one says LOCAL next to it.

Unless you are having a problem, don't tinker with Windows' processes. It is normal to have more than once instance of this program running. If you suspect that you've installed something that introduced a trojan, try a scanner. But if everything's working, leave it alone.

I am not as smart as some people but I do know that svchost.exe is a program that if you end process the program then you may (depending which one you chose) get a popup saying that the system will shut down because something or another stopped unexpectedly and your computer need to reboot. SO do you need to have all of them? ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!

some things you can do a search on to get what they are and if you need them. others that are specifically named can be stopped and if your pc seems ok then, ok. but if not you can restart the service by typing it into the startmenu, run field.
as far as svchost if you need it dont stop it. If it belongs to a program you dont want running - properly removing that program will also not start in services/processes, obviously.
do research on what processes are for windows OS's at microsoft.com

Well.. ur computer OS cannot use single file to run. It have to use different program/ modules for different procesess. Apart from that there are many application software running simultaneously at the backend.

Some of this application are not required by ur OS, so u can remove those from their. But before doing that u must have clear knowledge of wot u are removing... If u r doing END PROCESS to an application that is being used by the processor/OS ur PC can b hanged.

hi! you do not would desire to agonize with reference to the warning that comes up, this is barely microsoft being over-conserving. purely be sure you ensure you do not close something you decide on. a good rule to flow by using is barely close strategies that have your username interior the username section, hence it does not say "gadget" or "community provider" additionally be sure you not close explorer.exe, in any different case each and every thing will disappear.
