Actually the Bible doesnt say hateful, at least not KJ. But lets look at things the way you are saying them:
The Bible says that everyone falls short of the glory of God because they have all born into sin. If you deny one person the right to be a Christian because they live in a sinful way then you must deny all people the right to be a Christian because every person has sinner.
I also would advise you not to judge homosexuals, or even say that homosexuals are going to hell. Because the Bible says, do not judge for you will be judged in the way you judge. SOOOO according to the Bible if you tell someone they are going to hell because they have sinned, you in fact will be joining them.
Last but not least. Have you ever thought of having sex with a man. The Bible says that even thinking about doing something is doing it in God's eyes. So basically, according to the Bible any man who has ever even had a passing thought of sleeping with another man has indeed had homosexual relations.

actually leviticus does not say "sex"; rather it says "lie with". Thus not meaning quite the same except in the minds of those who believe everything has to be sexual.
but the overriding factor is who wrote leviticus. whose laws are they in that part of the bible. reality is they are the laws of man and not of god. so while leviticus purports to be a book of rules, none of the content is really part of the rule of god.
and when you read all of leviticus, you find prohibitions against eating shellfish, wearing clothes of mixed fabrics, etc. Thus if leviticus is to be used to say ceertain things are wrong, one must not be selective in their application. So, if you believe leviticus is a law you want to adhere to, then you must follow it all or wind up being a hypocrit.
Thus all those who condemn being gay based on leviticus had best make sure they are abstaining from shellfish, wearing only garments made of one fabric and all sort of other things lest they wind up losing any credibility they have..

There is a difference between the political identity of "gay" and someone who might have same sex attraction but who does not act on it.
The one who has same sex attraction but who either does not act on it or who repents and asks God's forgiveness if they do act on it is the one who will be forgiven by God.
But the one who calls themselves "gay" it's because they are making a political statement that they want to live the "gay" lifestyle and ignore the fact that it is a disordered sin against God's plan that marriage only be between one man and one woman.
This is why some people try to be "gay" and call themselves "Christian" at the same time:
"speaking of these things as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures." 2 Peter 3:16

Read the "Sermon on the Mount" these are the things Jesus tell us all to do, and not do. Gay is not mentioned, judgment is.
If you are speaking of Old Testament Law, there are lots of crazy rules in there. And Christians often say that Jesus created a New Covenant.

Homosexuals argue that they did not make a conscious decision to be that way, so it must be natural. They are born that way—just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1– ). Tell them that it is natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God says are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles and adulterers (alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.) don’t make a conscious decision to "choose" that self-destructive lifestyle, they simply give in to their sinful desires. However, although sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn’t mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23–8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22–24), and help them withstand temptations

Since you're quoting Leviticus, do you follow ALL that is contained there?? Or do you pick and choose what biblical rules you want to follow??
And to those who say being gay is a 'choice', is your heterosexuality a 'choice'??

Humans wrote the bible, not the divine. The universe created homosexuality for good purpose. To deny they are just as important to the universe as you are is quite 'evil'.

God gave us free will, and some people choose not to believe one or two items in the Truth. To their detriment.

same way that the people of earlier times divorces their wife/husband. “Moses, out of regard for your hardheartedness, made the concession to you of divorcing your wives, but such has not been the case from the beginning."
Out of hardheartedness, people keep in doing that they believe in God but do not change their ways thinking that God is forgiving and that they can sin again and again and then forgiven.
But the bible is clear that homosexual acts are detestable in God's eyes.
