Great demonstration of hypocrisy. Spelt is not actually a word.
And as for your question, the reason people dont use spell check is because it is time consuming and they would like to think that their question will be understood either way. Usually there is no point in making it a matter of confrontation.

Laziness and hurry. Me, I have a spell checker in my browser, which automatically lets me know when things have been spelt incorrectly. But then I use Firefox.
People still think I misspell, because I live and work in the UK, so as I have to use the English Dictionary while working, I have that set as a default, and those who use American, Australian, Caribbean or other English Dictionaries, still tell me I have misspelt words.

I know but maybe they are just rushing. I always check spelling now (well mostly). Unfortunately there isn't a grammar check for you so you would remember capital letters.

I don't use it, as I know how to spell.
"Spelt" IS a word, by the way.

That's easy. One or a combination of:
1. Stupid.
2. Lazy.
3. Don't think it's important.

I always like my spelling to be correct, but sometimes I don't notice a typo until it's too late!

Because some people are so confident that they know it or they are just doing things too fast to stop and check!!

I think Yahoo! spell checker only has poor feature. I suggested this. What do you think of it?
