I am a white south african citizen. (some people think there are no whites in africa) In 2008 I would like to immigrate to either England, France, USA, or Australia. I am 18 years old and finishing highschool this year. What do I need and if I cant immigrate immediately how do I find a job in that country.

I am going to continue studying part-time for BCom. I want to know what papers I need and stuff like that.

Pretend you are talking to someone who knows nothing about immigrating.

USA visas are notoriously hard to get, I got one for England fairly easily but they are limited to 2 years stay - I live in Australia (who are a bit more lenient with visas).

Just go to the SA web pages for the embassies of each of the countries you are interested in. The web pages will have details on how to apply for visas, what papers you need, the time limits and costs. Best of luck with your travels - you wont regret it, living overseas is a great adventure!

And to the girl who left the comment 2 above me - get an education, South Africa is not a third world country.

To start off, I'd like to say that that first answer you got from Dances_Wxx's was just tacky! Funny in a B-movie way, but definitely tacky. As long as you're willing to come here legally and assimilate and you have no plans to make teetee (square-dance style) onto various automotive targets or impregnate 11 year-old suitors, etc, you're fine.

But, now that I think of it, I guess your real question was HOW to go about that. (Immigrating, i mean, not impregnation) and, though I know of several ways, I'd have to say the best is to get a student visa.

Unless you have a pile of money, in which case I know of a visa that leads to immigration (and fast) that involves a moderate investment. I'm not having much luck finding which "trader treaty" (E-1, E-2, other) the U.S. has structured with South Africa, though.

Are you familiar with the immigration lottery? It's worth a shot and it's listed on the link above.

Best of luck.

First of all, try to get accepted to a college where you want to go. They will then sponser you if they accept you. After you are there, work on becoming of citizen of that country. Then you can have permanent residency. You don't even have to go that far, but can find a job before graduation there, and stay. Whatever way you go, you need a sponsor.
With the crimes against the whites in SA I am not surprised you and many others are wanting out. Many people do not know what is really going on in SA between the whites and blacks and how the blacks are so corrupt, especially their governments. How the blacks are robbing, stealing, and killing the whites and taking whatever they can. The whites made SA what it was, now that the blacks have taken over it is all going to hell fast.

Some how find your way to Mexico. Find your way to the Mexican border. After you cross with the other 1000 that day. you will come upon a border patrol station. When it is shift change or lunch time then make your move. Government workers are on the clock and make sure they take there break. Many border patrol agents are on the take so you have a chance there. If you get caught you have 12 more times to get caught before you get officially arrested
After you get employed by a Chicken plant. Then wait for George Bush to give you Amnesty (sorry guest worker)

You might be able to get a student visa, but it would be a non-immigrant visa and would only let you work on campus (to defray college costs, etc.) so if you need to support yourself you may want to try for a work visa.

Try the US immigration service web page.

I had friends in college who were 'British type' white South Africans (there also being white Dutch type South Africans as I understand it). They used investment to get citizenship in Canada and the US (eventually) and my friend was in the US on a student visa at the time.

If you can show that you have a grandparent who was a UK citizen, you should qualify for settlement in UK on an ancestry basis. I think this also works for some other EU countries. Just a thought! If this applies, check

Freeing yourself from Aids and what comes along with it is a milestone, I really don't think that will find any problem moving to England. Good luck.
