it has nothing to do with blood flow. it has to do with the insulin response from a calorie dense meal, especially those high in carbs. when serum glucose (blood sugar) elevates the body secretes more insulin to clear blood sugar. insulin is a storage hormone its purpose is to help the body metabolize sugars, proteins and lipids. when there is an excessive of insulin secreted and serum glucose levels fall to low the body goes into a hypoglycemic state (low blood sugar) which typically causes tiredness and hunger...
