I dont understand how can I lose a patch of my hair.I have a bold spot.I thought that if its cancer you would lose your hair in chemo only and not before. Is this true.Could someone explain to me exactly.

Try this site and check your symptoms: http://www.webmd.com/diseases_and_conditions/symptom_checker.htm
I would also make an appointment to see your physician today ~ he or she can answer your questions and help to alleviate some of your anxiety of the unknown. Self-diagnosis can help, but can also be faulty at times!
Take care of you!

I would say it's serious, I would get to a doctor right now, if not a Neurosurgeon or neurologist
