Why would anyone want to take the chance? Universal precautions should always be used when dealing with blood, and blood is the way hep c is transmitted. Personally, I would think that if a virus is undetectable (as in a sustained responder) that it would not be able to be transmitted, but... I am not a doctor, so I would suggest you ask your gastroenterologist or infectious disease doc to get the most accurate information. Good luck to you.
