Alright let me try to explane, Bit Torrent is a network to share files and such. Simple enough. but to answer your problem, utorrent is a program that downloads torrents.(one of the best ones to do the job)

All you have to do is open the torrent in utorrent and it will download. But some torrents you download do not always have enough people shareing the data your trying to get so thats called a "Dead torrent". A Dead-Torrent is where no one is shareing the data which you need so i would try looking for the a newer torrent that is not dead from a website like www.isohunt.com .

I hope this helps if its a problem more than trying to get seeders (people who share the data) just email me.

First of all, you dont need both of these, only one of them will do..Both of them do identical jobs.
Check for the status message in bitlord (it might say connecting, or downloading or something like that.)
Do you see your torrent file listed in the window in bitlord? does it say upload rate and download rate?
sometimes it just might be a torrent file that no one is seeding (sharing??) and so you are getting a poor download ration.
Go to a torrent search site (like torrentz.com or piratebay.com) and select a file that haev a lot of seeders it it (it will be indicated in green) and try with that file.
All the best!!

go to www.mininova.com and download a file there. That file will then start downloading from Bit Torrent when you open it.

After you install the Bittorrent program, you then have to go to websites that off the "links" to the files you wish to download. The files, once downloaded, connect you to the group of people sharing the file. And it will download automatically.

It will take time, and actually may not download at all. It depends on wether the torrent is actually still being used, and how many people are supplying whatever it is you are trying to download.

There should be plenty of getting started guides online if your having problems with bittorrent.
