we don't talk anymore,,we havn't talked for 3months,,but she had my gold chain and 5 pound coin,,,,on New Years Eve i was driving in her area and and decided to call her,,,she picked up,,i then told her i was down the road and wanted to pick up my stuff,,she sounded pleasent and said yes she will send her Daughter down to drop my stuff off,,i got my stuff and drove home it was 2 hour before i opened the bag my chain was in when i looked at it i was shocked to see that my herringbone chain had be completly mangled, bent up & destroyed & it can't be worn anymore,,i was furious coz she did this out of hate,,,,i have a new love intrest and can't be bothered with this girl anymore but i called her and asked what she did to my chain,,she said that it was how i gave it to her,,,that chain was a gift to me from my parents for my 21st Bday i have had it 20 odd years it was in perfect condition when i gave it to her for safe keeping with a kink,,why would someone be so evil and what can do?

y should u give it to her at first place?its not proper to give a gift to someone else,u r not sensitive enough at that point of time but u r wasting ur time in thinking about it now.jus forget about it,its YOUR mistake...

You could keep in contact with her, asking why she damaged your chain, she will probably just deny any responsibility. You could take her to small claims court over it but you have no proof that the damage was caused by her and you would have to stay in contact with someone who is mean and spiteful.
I suggest you don't do either. If you get the chain fixed yourself, the financial cost would be minor compared to the emotional cost of dealing with such an unpleasant person. Don't have any more contact her. It is impossible to understand why people do mean things to each other.
