Media. My mom when she used to be younger had really thin thighs with a space in the middle (like a lot of slim people do) hated her thighs because back then the thighs of the girls in Miss Universe had to not have a space in the middle of your thighs. But look now, we're being surrounded by really skinny models, and now most of us are pretty much brainwashed, I suppose. Well, the people that are thin and think they're fat are. It's our generation, I suppose.

not muich confidense and people really skinny being classed as the " norm" size. Some people think if they arent a perfect 10 or 8 then they are fat, others loose weight but just cant accept that they are finally slim and want to get slimmer. Mostly down to media aswell snapping pictures of normal sized people but labeling it fat...=)...everyone is beautiful whether they are overweight or not.

It is sometimes referred to as Distorted Body Image now, with all the hype on the media and magazines, we don't see ourselves perfect unless we are thin. Unfortunately some people can't see that they are thing to themselves they appear overweight this is when people need to seek professional help before it becomes a more serious health problem such as bulimia or anorexia.

it depends on what your definition of fat is. there are a lot of skinny people out there with a high body fat percentage because they lack any muscle mass. everybody should be trying to aim for below average body fat percentages for their age group.

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look, I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
They won't stop till they've reached their dreams

Diet pills, surgery
Photoshopped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesn't make sense to me

it's a psychological problem... i suggest that she consult a doctor.. and if she's in denial or unaware that she is sick... try to convince her to consult a psychiatrist.. as these problems can become worse --> anorexia.. not good at all..
