My mother-in-law made this creamcicle fudge candy and gave me a piece of it and she watched me as i was tasting it and oh gah it was so awful but i had to swallow it cause i didn't want to say that it tasted awful.
Has that ever happened to you? Do you tell them it was good or bad?

My aunt once made a loaf of bread but it was as heavy as a brick so for some reason it didn't rise, and it tasted yukky!! she asked what i thought,i said it was yummy so then she put some more on my plate!! Rather tell her it's gross!
PS has anyone realised that it's always your aunt who's making the gross stuf??

when people make food for it is a form of love and some people find their niche in a certain recipe or recipes . if people are experimenting with a recipe and ask your opinion is one thing but you have a fine line there be nice not hurtful after you have tryed something then you learn what to tastefully skip!

Thats a hard one.
My aunty made toffees. They are my favourite. She burnt them & when I first out it in my mouth, I knew straight away. They were YUK. I turned to my aunty when she asked me "Well, how are they? I said, "Their not as good as your anzac cookies"
Atleast I wasn't directly pointing out they were bad. She said I thought they were your Favourite. I said, the really sweet ones are!
Family should understand.
Goodluck

I'd avoid telling her by swallowing it quickly with a "ummm", that's enough for me!
