Well, they don't just sell a Boston Terrier to just anyone. You have to be a member of MENSA to own one.

It is actually a little-known fact that many dogs have hypnotic abilities over less intelligent beings - including some humans! One must be very simple-minded to want a Boston Terrier, and thus the owner is easily manipulated by the dog. I'm sorry, but owning a Boston Terrier does not make you smarter than anyone else. You are only thinking what the dog wants you to think. My advice to you would be to beat the animal mercilessly until it is dead. This doesn't answer your question, but at least when the dog is dead you will have peace of mind knowing that your thoughts are YOUR thoughts.

the American Staffordshire Terrier and American Pit Bull Terrier are two separate yet related breeds. They were once the same breed. A single dog could be dual registered under both names. As an AmStaff with the AKC and an APBT with the UKC. Eventually the breed was split because the AKC wanted to distance itself further from dog fighting. American Staffordshire Terriers are bred more for show and to fit the physical standard of the breed. American Pit Bull Terriers are bred to fit more into the old standard of a game-bred dog. A dog willing to do what its owner wants even if it risks injury in the process (a common terrier trait) I would get an AmStaff from a show breeder, as they have less of the gameness of the APBT. Being a registered AmStaff may also make it a little easier to find a place to live (since many people see the words 'pit bull' and instantly say NO without even meeting said dog). I wouldn't advise a purebred AmStaff for a first-time dog owner. Ever. Maybe an AmStaff/Lab or Pit/Lab mix...but not a purebred. They are not easy first time dogs. Training and owning a dog is nothing like training and owning a horse. A horse is a prey animal, a dog is a predatory animal. they have completely different mentalities. You can't apply the techniques from one on the other.

This breed of dog is very useful for medical research and hence the owners are normally doctors or scientists.

Is it because they post such intelligent questions?
It CAN'T be because you spend $1200 for an ugly bug-eyed rat with breathing problems......
