I don't. I only tip people who are providing a luxury service. Like restaurant/bar servers, hairstylists, estheticians, the guy that pumps your gas.. If I order takeout from a sit down restaurant then I tip because I know the server has to tip out the kitchen for the food. But I don't tip at Starbucks or fast food places.

Yes, you are tipping for the curbside service just as you would for the table service if you ate in the restaurant.

I work at a restaurant that has a drive thru where sometimes people who order large or unusaul order will be asked to pull up and then we will carry out their food to them.We do not exspect a tip and its not required but it would be nice once in a blue moon.It would definately be a surprise. However with sonic I think you should tip .Why?Those girl really walk miles a day to deliver food and most people are rude to them so if I get a good one I try to tip a little bit even 75 cents or a dollar is appreciatted .

No! What did they do? Their JOB! They walked out to your car. Tipping would defeat the purpose, you could get out and walk in, but they offer this service.

I believe it is proper to tip them for the convenience of bringing the food to you, no different than a waitress bringing it to your table. Especially if there is snow outside or rain etc. I just think it is polite to tip them.

Yes, like Sonic, but I try not to go there so I do not have to tip for a Burger and fries, but if I go, yes I tip

I do, though I don't base it off the total bill. Generally I just give them $5.00
