My fiancee has 2 two year old cats and I have a 10 month old labrdor puppy. We're going to be moving into a medium one bedroom apartment. Any suggestions how we can have a peaceful exsistance without one of us having to get rid of our pet?

Can you spell lunch? LOL

Seriously, if the cats have been exposed to dogs then you may not have a big problem. If they're skiddish they may make life difficult for your puppy, especially a lab since they're so loveable (I grew up around labs). On the other hand, after a period of adjustment, they may be able to exist together ok. Trial and error I'm afraid. Good luck. PS - Siamese Cats may be mean to your pup....my mother's cats were.

End of a great relationship? No. We took in a rescue dog. He had been with so many families before us because he just couldn't adjust to cats in the house. BUT we just let them work it out. Lab pups when they are as young as yours are very, very energetic. BUT they will become best of friends with time and patience. Thought Ducky's sites were excellent, by the way.

they learn to get along. mine did. i have 3 dogs and 3 cats. the oldest-age 17 (cat)- has been through many dogs. he is the king but does not flaunt it. Labs get along with cats just fine. All 3 dogs are lab mixes. For some reason-they know that my cats are MY CATS and they do not hurt them.
