Absolutely!

There can only be one God (the uncaused first cause)

The problem with religions are two fold.

1. the scriptures are divinely inspired; but God teaches each of us according to our level of awareness (our ability to understand the spiritual truths God teaches us)

2. Sooner or later; man messes the whole thing up with the idea "We have these scriptures. they are the literal word of God"

They are NOT the literal word of God. Those are the recordings of that prophets level of spiritual understanding.

It is impossible for the mind of man to fully understand the mind of God.

I suggest that people actually get to know God instead of blindly following one scripture or religion without question.

Could be. Interesting observation considering that we have many cultures all over the world (christian, unchristian) who mysteriously enough ALL have a passed down legend of a world wide flood, a man and a boat.

Now how on earth did they get this account, when many of those have never even seen a bible? Let alone heard any such account of the biblical flood.

They all have almost identical stories and this is very very unusual, and indicates to us that the bible may well be a documented history account, not only due the the stories from all those cultures, but also the evidence in the world of this very event taking place.

So yes, it is possible that even with all the variation on prophets themselves, that there will be some similarities on the same God!

People split off in their own groups and cultures and many lost touch with the law they were given and created their own, but even so, they STILL had the old passed down legends of the flood regardless and that is something that is in common with every other culture.

In his famous book Mere Christianity, Lewis makes this statement, "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us."

Without a doubt, all prophets are speaking of the same God, for there is only one God...but with a difference: they spoke about Him only to the level of their own realization and according to the time, place and circumstance in which they lived. There are higher forms of religion, just like there is simple mathematics and more advanced calculus; you can teach 1&1=2 to a child, but he won't understand the more advanced math until he grows; likewise, the highest form of religion is bhakti, pure love for Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Most people are not able to understand this, but you can if you read Bhagavad-gita As It Is. peace

Yes! If they are not all talking or recieving revelation from God (the only God) then the Bible would a conglomerate of men speaking there own words form there own made up gods in the heads.

In Hebrews 1 verse 1 it says, In the past God spoke to our forefathers thruou the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.

2Peter 1:21 says, For prophecy never had its origin in the will o man, but men soke from God as they were carried along by the holy Spirit.

Since we know that God has revealed himself through the prophets, notice that these verses do not say gods or one god spoke her and another god spoke there, but God spoke.

The entire Bible is God's revelation of himself to us, this earth gives general revelation of the one God as all of this can't come from nothing, it had to have had one creator from the beginning of our time that created it.

The Bible affirms a belief in one God and the prophets spoke His words as he moved them with his spirit.

I hope this helps answer your question. Have a blessed and glorious day in the Lord.

IF they are ALL prophets FROM God, sent by God, then YES. And since they are, (the ones sent by God) then they ARE ALL talking about the SAME GOD.

Which God Which Profits most religions have their own profits. Are you talking about Zeus?

Not unlikely.

I'm assuming you wrote "profit" and not "prophet" accidentally and not as a play on words?
