I want to know what books, sites, scientists e.t.c. I can study for their alchemical beliefs. Any info anyone can give me will help. I want to compare texts to my biochemisty studies. I know Isaac Newton is a great person to turn to, but that's all I can come up with.

Any alchemy info. is welcome!

The guy above me is right, they have a good alchemy section. www.Levity.com has some pretty good stuff as well.
Also try these search terms "Anatomia Auri", "Secret Book Of Artephius", "Divine Pymander" , and "Golden Tracteate of Hermes". They're pretty good. As is anything by Paracelsus.

Just so you know, the compound that scholars believe the alchemists made by mixing sulfur into molten mercury is known as mercury sulfide and is used to make the primers in bullets. If you whipped up a batch, and you dropped it, you'd blow yourself up.
