I'd like to help although I am not clear on why she needs a 90 day visa to stay in Thailand. Not telling is 100% up to you but it makes offering answers less easy.

What she has at the moment is not, I suspect, a 30 day visa but rather a 30 day visa waiver, ie. a waiver from the requirement to obtain a visa. The visa waiver scheme is avilable to the nationals of many, but not all, countries, for example, to UK nationals. The maximum period of time that anybody is allowed to say in Thailand using the visa waiver scheme is 90 days in any 6 month period, ie. the passport holder has to leave the country before the expiry of the relevant visa waiver (eg. day trip to Cambodia) and get a new 30 day visa waiver stamp. But this visa run can only be done twice in any 6 month period.

If someone wants to stay longer than this they need a visa. Tourist visas 60 days (maybe soon a 90 day tourist visa will be avilable) can be obtained from the Thai consulate in your country before leaving for Thailand. You can buy up several at once allowing consecutive stays of 60 days. I would be interested to read what anyone else has to say about non-nationals buying tourist visas e.g. could a British national go to Singapore or KL and buy a 60 day tourist visa from the Thai embassy/consulate there?

Assuming that the answer is no (and I don't know that it is), then you're into non-immigration visa territory, which has been mentioned above. For that the following websites of Thai consulates in your country may be helpful.

She will have to do the 'visa run' Toward the end of her 30 days transit visa she will have to leave the country and then re-enter for another 30 day transit visa. She can do this for a maximum of 3 times. Check out the visa rules at the Thaiconsul website

That would mean a trip to a neighbouring country that has a Thai embassy or consular office. Tourist visas for periods longer than the typical 30 visa-on-entry must be obtained outside the country. And don't expect all embassies and consular offices to offer the same range of visa options. Each office seems to operate by its own rules. For more detailed information, you might check out...

She could apply for a non-immigrant visa, depending on what she wants to do in Thailand. Category B is for Business, O for other, usually accompanying spouse. These non-immigrant visa is extendable.

You don't say how long she has been here and how long her ultimate stay is going to be. If she is here and running out of visa runs (3rd VOA) she will have to leave for 3 months. If she can, I recommend she return home and obtain a multiple entry non-immigrant visa.
