The "truth" is that, that underlies all appearances, or what appears to be. A bee see's a spectrum of colours that we do not so in order for humans to have a truth or a reality on something, it requires "agreement".

As I have said many times, there is no such thing as one real truth. When it comes to spiritual enlightenment, the only real truth is the truth that is found within. Each individual must find his/her own truth by looking within and communing with his/her own soul or deepest self. Most people don't understand this. They think that truth is a one size fits all, kind of thing, and that only one way can be the right way. This is what causes so much conflict. When people finally understand that my path and belief system is right for me, and yours is right for you, and that nobody is wrong. Then the conflicts will end, because people will understand that it is okay to disagree, and they will stop trying to get others to agree with them.

An Anti Tobacco campaign...
No seriously, common dictionary definitions of truth mention some form of accord with fact or reality. Therefore to use it in Religious context is an Oxymoron, as Religions are with out fact, but rely on blind faith.
There is no single definition of truth about which the majority of scholars agree, and numerous theories of truth continue to be widely debated. There are many differing claims on such questions as what constitutes truth, how to define and identify truth, what roles do revealed and acquired knowledge play, and whether truth is subjective, relative, objective, or absolute.

What makes people ready to kill, to defame and pillage withour regard? You would have to ask a criminal that question and not people in the religious section of YA.

"...the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)
which truth sets a person free? The truth about where he came from, who created him, why there is suffering, what would happen to his life and the promises that God gave.
There are so many things that happened long ago that it may not matter to us...but all is linked to the one Universal truth there is. The one True God who sets you free from the enslavement of ignorance.

When Jesus is said to be "The Truth", it precisely means that he is the end of all ends. He is not just a symbol. If Jesus tells you to put your son on a pyre and sacrifice him, you have to do it. That is the problem of any religion that recognizes a higher being.

Truth in reality is different for everyone. It is subjective and that is what causes dissent and anger. There is no universal truth when it comes to religion and that is what causes the misery within the concept that should be beautiful and edifying.

That is a difficult question. Truth For whom?. everybody has it own Truth.
Most of them form different groups.
Every group think they have the real truth, and have to impose on everyone.
Everyday, in the catholic church, symbols become less.
remember, Rome wasn't created in one day.
I have tried to answer you question, but you seem to aggressive to admit any answer. hope you calm down, and have a good reflexion period.

Amazing!
I couldnt answer you that. I wish i could, but its so dilluted, it really is hard to say. Yet I totaly agree with your statement. We need more thinkers like you around here.
Maybe it just shows superiority and power. My truth makes more sense to 'us' and is more logical to 'us' therefore your truth is wrong. Now we dont have to prove our truth as correct, as long as we can prove you wrong. Therefore you are less than intelligent if you decide not to believe what our culture/society believes and we must take action.
