Well Lacoste, you went through the same thing 4 months ago (according to your previous questions). I don't know if you have SAD, I don't even think that you know. You might know some of the signs, but you're not qualified to diagnose yourself. And at 22 (or were you 21?), you're hardly qualified to do that. If you truly want help (and not from people in Y! Answers), then you're going to have to open your wallet and get help. Get some help, you'll never regret it.

Group therapy. It's generally a lot cheaper than one-on-one counseling; and hey, you're interacting with people in a safe way--there's a group leader there to stop anything embarassing or frightening from happening--so that in itself will help.

You'll need an initial appointment with a psychologist to get a diagnosis... just to make sure you don't have some other similar condition like generalized anxiety disorder, social phobias, agoraphobia, Asperger's, nonverbal learning disorder... Et cetera. (All of those can cause fear when interacting with other people.)

But basically, whatever you do, you're the one responsible for handling this problem... you are going to a psychologist or a group or whatever because you're using it to help you understand yourself. You can't just sit there and expect to magically get better; you have to take control of it yourself and do the work.

Good luck. :)

By looking it up online, you will be able to search through tons of information about what is going on with you and several ways to manage it better until you can get professional help.

If you are in the US you can seek help at the local mental health service where their fee is based on your income.

Self diagnosis and advice or treatment from laypersons is never a good idea so if you think you have a problem seek professional help please.

Good luck.

don't seek professional help. everyone has a measure of anxiety when confronted with the prospect of speaking or socializing, its natural, and you just need lots of time to get used to it. just be patient with your ability to get used to it.
