After hearing several horror stories regarding some people dyeing their hair themselves and the results proving to be disastrous, i HIGHLY recommend you to save up and go to a good salon to dye your hair.
Its not as easy as strolling into the shop, picking a colour and emerging with that colour after the dye. Your best bet would probably the salon as they know how to do it well (they may err sometimes though) and more importantly they will have to be accountable for whatever happens to your hair. Heh heh.

Well I'd go with sticking with your black hair coz if u use peroxide, your hair may go blonde: Perfect for dying orange but then it'll most probably fall out. So I'd stick with black coz u may go bald using peroxide.

with black hair - temp orange cant work, as you will have to bleach your hair to absolute blond and then dye it orange - that will be on yr hair for 9-12 months at least- till yr original hair grows out- so i suggest check with yr stylist b4 doing any drastic thing on yr hair.

Get it done professionally, that's the only way to avoid disaster.
Other options include coloured sprays or gels.
