Well i would reccomend the cream! Gel goes hard, and if not hard, will go sticky. Its really used for hair when its up in a ponytail or something. Use the cream because it will make your curls look silky and still keep them in place!

Gel will make your curls crispy and possibly wet or greasy looking. Best to use a product on your hair while it is still damp, something that will boost and lock in your curls, rather than just crisping them up.
