If your religion makes you feel guilt and shame instead of love and compassion for your fellow human beings, then you should find another religion or swear off the stuff altogether.
If you really want release from the fear of hell, it's simple. Stop believing in it. If you're having a hard time with that, consider this: I could never condemn ANYbody to eternal torture for a mere lifetime of sin. So either God is less forgiving than I am or there is no hell. I prefer to believe there is no hell, but if you choose to believe your God is less forgiving than me, that's your choice.

The extreme feeling of unrest is present because the pieces of the puzzle have not been put together so you can put your full trust in them. Wrong notions or views can hide the peace and understanding that comes to us through Christianity.
Your thought needs a tune-up as to God’s nature, power, and control of what He has created, and by looking at mortal suggestions, one will never see the truth of the matter. Redirect your thought to the good and enduring, the eternal verities of God, and the pieces of the puzzle will start to be put together for you.

Extreme unrest? I know how you feel. I was once there myself. You know what it was that wouldn't let me rest. The Holy Spirit. He was pleading with me to get my life together. I couldn't have done it on my own. I had no power to be able to make that great change. But when I acknowledged my sins, confessed them with my mouth(that's so importatnt), and repented, the Lord gave me his promised gift of the Holy Spirit and I was set free from the bondage of sin. I am no longer a slave to depression, fear, anxiety, lust, hatred, anger, or anything else that the devil has tried to throw back my way. It is the Holy Spirit that is convicting you of your sins. Don't be deceived. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God (that's scripture), but it can be turned around. Jesus is the answer. Just repeat this prayer with me. Lord, I am a sinner. I confess my sins before you(you can even name certain ones. Your road to deliverance begins with your acknowledgement and confession of your sins. Get specific. Don't leave any sin hidden! This will only allow the devil to keep his hold on you.) Lord, I repent with my whole heart this day. Wash me in your blood and make me over into what you intended for me to be from the beginnning. Lord, I acknowledge that you sent your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins so that I could live a victorious life. I claim the victory today! Lord, I ask that you will fill me with your precious Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) so that I may know how to live for you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. If you prayed that prayer out of the sincerity of your heart, know that God heard your cry and He has already answered that prayer. God bless you and may your soul be encouraged.

Hi -
I'm not quite sure I understand your question completely -you didn't give alot of info; but, are you sure its just that you are having a hard time forgiving yourself for something?
I hope you will write and explain more; Luke chapter 10, I believe, you will find that God gives you power over all of your spiritual enemies, including satan. Excersise that power. In the name of Jesus Christ, order it out of your home, away from your mind and away from your family and friends.
Also, I know that alot of churches don't anoint anymore, but it is actually still scriptural to anoint yourself and your home, kids, etc.
Ask God in the name of Jesus to bless a tiny bit of pure olive oil and then use it when ordering out anything negative.
Christs name- Christos in Greek - means the anointed one, and the practice of annointing was never done away with by God.
Its not the oil that has any power - its the obedience to God that you listened to Him and used the oil;
Anything near you will take off screaming.
And look, I don't care what you might have done at any time, but if theres something you are specifically feeling guilty about, ask for Gods forgiveness, and then God doesn't even want it brought up again - its gone, and you are certainly not going to hell.
God loves his children - if you are trying - and it sure sounds like you are, then you are cool with Him. Lighten up on yourself.
Its all good - He hears your prayers, I have no doubt.

Pray to God, and repent all your sins. Ask Jesus into your heart. This a part of being saved. Go to any pastor who is Christian and he will help you to really be saved. Once you are saved, you might not feel so bad. If spiritual hell is bothering you, read this website and see what real hell will be like and then you might decide that life is not so bad after all and I will almost bet you will get saved real quick.

If you pray to God to overcome your feelings of spiritual hell, you must also believe that He will answer your prayers. Merely just praying won't work, you must also have faith. Confess to the Lord that you are not living the way that you should; and ask Him to forgive you of all your sins.

Ask Jesus to forgive you and to help you.
Matthew 11:28 Come to me,all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,for I am gentle and humbled in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:30 For my joke is easy and my burden is light.
Listen to "jan" She is absolutly right.
GOD BLESS YOU!

are you praying in Jesus name at the end of your prayer....if you don't your prayer is not heard.....are you doing things like going to church, reading your Bible, trying to change the things that are making you feel messed up, sometimes the things we pray for we can fix ourselves and that's why they haven't been fixed yet, he waiting for you to figure out you do have free will, and can do it yourself

Although Jesus is our Savior and example of how to live, he did instruct us to pray to his father. Read Psalms 83:18.
