I recently broke up with this one boy because he was telling my friend that he was gonna break up with me and that he liked another girl. He never did break up with me but i got tired of him talking about me behind my back. Should I have kept him or not?

Hey,
Yeah you did the right thing. The guy you were dating sounds like a jerk and you deserve someone better. Great Decision! Good Luck! ;)

I agree with you. I gather that if he was a true lover of you, he should not have talking about you in your absence. I think he was just making fool of you. He was not interested in you whereas he liked anothe girl. This is not good for the guy. After all you had your emotions and love. Now when you realized that he is talking about you with friends, he was just taking an advantage of your absence otherwise he was interested in other girl with whom he must have some deep love relations. I therefore conclude that you are right in breaking with him. He is not a guy who is to be trust ed upon.

How did you know that he actually said that? Did you hear him and when he didn't break up with you, was that a not a clue that maybe he may not have said anything of the sort? And is does your friend like your man and want to start confirtation between the two of you? You can't believe what people say. I at least hope you asked him first

Absolutely not! You did the right thing in breaking off the relationship because he was talking you down behind your back. That shows a true lack in character, and if you had continued in that relationship he would have abused you overtly. Character assassination in any form is abusive, and the person whom you were in the relationship with has a problem. You didn't cause it, and you can't fix it. You're much better off without him.
Find someone who values you enough to build you up and hold you in positive regard. "We teach people how to treat us."

This sounds like the typical person who would be the abuser in an abusive relationship. You did the right thing by letting him go. If he truly liked you, he wouldn't have been degrading you. And what goes around, comes around, so he'll get his some day.

You go girl!!! You deserve better than a two faced jerk like that. Don't ever waste your time on someone who don't appreciate who you are. Find a guy that will be proud to have you in his life and can appreciate you for who you are!

Have a one-on-one conversation with him. Let him know what you've heard and want to know if its true. Tell him that you're not used to him talking behind you back and if its untrue, let him know its time to stop.
