The egg! That could be the only correct answer, I think, because obviously chickens are formed inside an egg, and all chickens were hatched from eggs. Never heard of one that didn't! Now where that first egg came from would be the better question! That I can't answer! Likely, something mated with something else and the chicken egg was the ultimate "end result" ? That's my guess, anyway.

I dont know why people have such a hard time with this question. When God made the earth and all the living creatures in it, he made a pair of chickens, who rode on Noah's Ark...who then mated and the female layed eggs. So according to the Bible, the CHICKEN came first!
