Why babies born on board get a life time free pass to travel that carrier of their birth ?

Airlines see on-board deliveries as potential problems (health issues, forced landings, inconvenienced/embarrassed passengers, law suits, etc.), not something to be celebrated. Just imagine how many devious pregnant women would be scheming to deliver on board (and jeopardize the health of their child) just for that chance of a free airline ticket!

Most airlines will carry a woman up to 27 or 28 weeks into the first pregnancy. After that, as the risk of labor increases, a letter is generally required from your doctor, stating that you are fit to travel and estimating your due date. However, each airline has its own set of rules - it is best to inquire in advance.

Do they? If so I guess it a way of honour the family and the kid. Most airliners got regulations saying how long a pregnacy must be to aloud the girl to fly. J.
