Hi Olivia,

I don't know you so maybe there IS something wrong with you. I am a little older than you and have not been in a relationship for a few years. We have different priorities now. Dating or casual relationships hold little interest for us now. We want to settle with a mature special someone for the long haul. If that is not what you want, you are doomed to chase younger men who will use you and dump you. I don't know what to do for me. I can't seem to find anyone that holds my interest for long. They have baggage or unrealistic expectations or something that interferes with the development of a solid love. Don't worry. We aren't alone. There are literally MILLIONS of middle-aged singles out there who have lost the ability to 'connect'. I'm such a person.

You changed your dating habits, moved to an area where there are very few viable choices, and you want to know why you aren't finding ready dates??? Gee, I don't know...maybe you need to revise your approach, or try something a little less formal than you have in the past?! Your age has very little to do with it; there are lots of guys out there that would jump at the chance to spend time with a lady like you...

very happy to hear you dropped the bar scene, nothing but losers. Any way I believe that it does get harder to find men when you get to this age. Most men are married at this age or perves lookin for young one to give them a free ride. continue to be patiant. If it is meant to happen than it will. If not, Nobody NEEDS a man.

No, you're probably just finding out specifically what you're looking for, or what you're not looking for in a mate. Sometimes people just need personal time; it's healthy + you get time to heal.
When you feel like you're ready you'll know.
If it's the biological issue; you can always adopt.

No, nothing is wrong with you. Infact, at 42, you are at your peak...and most married woman wish they were in your shoes!! so enjoy the new few years...because you won't be 42 again!!

Nothing is wrong with you. What happens is that the older you get........the less quality men there are out there. They are more damaged by their past relationships that have gone bad. They just aren't desirable.

probably. do not let it affect you .if you ve always had a guy then, perahps its time to take a break. chill out when necessary. don't sound desperate for guys. im sure you will find the ideal one very soon. all the best.

i don't think it's age, i think you just have to be at the right place at the right time , don't get to worried about it . it will happen when it happens , i know how you feel but you can't think that you're the problem , you're not .
