I was thinkin of gettin a tattoo just above my neck, but does that mean i'd have to shave the hair off 1st??

Yes you gotta shave. They will shave your arm or leg first if that's where you wanted it. The head has way more hair. You don't have to shave your entire head. You gotta get a new do anyway if you wanna show it off.

Yes, the area where the tattoo is going to be has to be shaved first. For sanitary reasons and becuase you really can't do a tattoo over hair. It would so mess it up.

They dont have to shave your head, just the portion you are getting tattooed (which is your neck, if I read that right).

you "could" but it would look like crap and the tattoo artist most likely wouldn't do it. head tattoos are a huge commitment. if you're not willing to shave your head then you probably shouldn't do it.

sorry to hear this buddy but.....nope....... we'll you got to shave your head first then get a tattoo and buy a wig that matches with your head or hair or whatever hehehe but thats the only way i can think of so good luck and.......... Happy new Year................

If you are going to get in your hair, then yes.
If it is below your hairline, then no.
They have to shave the spot where you are getting the tattoo to put the stencil on.

um... of course one can... but the artist will prefer the hair gets shaved. It interferes with the needles.

*giggles* You could try, but I'd get it cut/shaved off as necessary (Otherwise the tatto wouldn't work properly), then grow your hair to cover it if necessary/so desired.
