has 76 of them, most from Mexico. The non-Mexican ones may be typos. Odds are it is some variant of a Spanish surname.

As far as I know, the Reveles family entered Mexico from France. If one can trust online heritage services the name has been modified from an old English family with origins in Northumberland during the early middle ages. Obviously the name has been modified since. Tracing from myself (and basing myself on the heresay in my family) I think it was my grandfather's grandfather or his great grandfather who migrated from France, which would coincide roughly with either the first or second french interventions so it makes sense.

I know there is a rather large branch of the family in Los Angeles, and generally in the U.S. that seem to have gone there from Mexico, and over all I get the impression that the family has been in the U.S. for several generations.
