I think you mean yea, as in yea=yes, and nay =no.

Anyways, I kind of agree to a point. Poor folks have not much more to believe in. Their life has sucked up until now, so they must grab onto something with a little hope, even though they can't see it. In their imagination, it makes their life better even though it really isn't.

On the other hand - don't religious people have to dress up to go to church? How can poor people afford this? Better off to stay home!

(YES!! I just spell-checked this, and got 'em all correct on my own! YES!!!)

In a way, yes I do agree. Religion is for the physical poor and the spiritual poor. People are always searching for a purpose in their lives. No matter how much money they have or what material things they have obtained, they never feel a sense of satisfaction. They always want more. That's why people from all sorts of backgrounds seek a religion.

What has religion to do with rich and poor. When you are born , you are automatically following a religion. When some people grow up and get matured, they start thinking whether they are following right religion or not.....if they find it right they follow it, if not they choose their way of living.
The basic need for religion is only when a person dies, in order to earn some respect for our dead body , we are following religion, that is what I feel.

Religion is for the weak-minded, and the weak-minded are more likely to be poor than rich. To clarify, I think that in general the type of mind that believes in religion is the type of mind that will not be very successful in the real world.

They are for the poor as well as the rich, but it is a fact that it is easier for the poor to enter the kingdom of heaven than the rich who are cumbered and enslaved by their riches. Jesus says it is easier for a camel to enter the hole of the needle than a rich man to enter heaven. But it is not impossible. There are rich people who also realize that even if they can possess the whole world, but if they lose their souls, it will be a great loss instead of profit.
