I'm not sure about an exact time, but when I was an exchange student there I was only off school twice. Once was sometime in early July for a day or two (I don't know why) and the other was Summer Vacation. It lasted from mid July until after I went home in Early August. I'm not sure when it ended.

Sorry I can't be more help!

Japanese summer holiday runs from the middle of July to the end of August. See the link below for dates this year. Note that the Japanese school year starts in April, so the summer holiday comes in the middle of their school year. This means students are expected to study and review during the summer, and teachers assign plenty of homework and assignments to be completed during the summer and handed in at the beginning of September. Other school holidays are all of the national holidays in the link below, as well as two weeks at the end of March before the new school year starts in April. There may also be some days off for Parent-Teacher meetings, teacher training days, etc.

eastern shuttle agencies like IACE, HIS, or AMNET can get you more most cost effective flights each so often, yet nevertheless it's going to be $a million,2 hundred in step with human being, so as that destroys your $3,000 funds. even as in Japan you may want to keep money by staying in hostels and shopper homes, which fee about $30 a evening in step with human being. truthfully inspite of the indisputable fact that it style of appears like you received't have sufficient to really savour a visit to Japan. i can say from adventure there is not something extra nerve-racking than going all a thanks to Japan merely to be too broke to savour it. It extremely sucks.
