My fiance is a former Marine, you can definately tell by the way he carries himself and how he handles things. He's controlling with me, not abusive. I love this about him. Why? Is there something wrong with me? If any...?

Not a thing! If you enjoy his taking control and handling things that you find tedious or demanding in life, then why not enjoy the fact that someone you love is able to make your life a little easier? Let him know that you appreciate his abilities and damn what other people outside of the relationship seem to think, any negative words from them are just jealousy at your happiness...they have their own sorry azzes to look after!

If you're both happy with the situation and nobody is harmed, then tie each other up with lace scanties and whip one another with liquorice for all I care. Really, anything is fine if you are both adults and happy with the situation.
I'm just wondering why you are questioning it, if you feel happy with the situation. Usually, people question things when they feel there's something wrong or they want to attract a little attention.

Depends on what controlling means and how you are willing to be pushed.

Never let someone control you to the point where you no longer recognise yourself or are being abused.

Are you certain that you aren't misusing the word "controlling"?

Perhaps he is "in control" and "strong" and "confident." There is nothing wrong with these things -- they can be very positive.
"Controlling" has the negative connotation which implies that he is forceful and quite possibly abusive.

If he is a leader type but kind and respectful (not really "controlling") every woman should look for a man such as this. Liberals won't have a clue about this, however, and won't understand a word of it.

The above answer also says it well.
