people who are confident usually can accept compliments. Just because someone is complimenting you doesn't mean the person is insincere?! They most likely genuinly mean what they say when they compliment you. When you compliment them they smile that means they like it when people compliment them on something and it makes them feel good about themselves and get to enjoy your company more. Nobody wants to be around someone who is depressed and not very happy. Let alone insecure..

You're not insecure, I also don't like getting the same compliments just because I'm not full of myself, and when people accept all the time when people say they are pretty or something that boost their confidence, a lot of people get big headed and think that they are more than they are, and the appealing becomes not so appealing like before.

flattery...you wonder whether it is motivated by something else...most of the time it isn't...sometimes its as a result of jelousy or envy...and that too is a compliment...so don't be so damn insecure...and take compliments with a smile...even if its insincere....take it with a smile!!

Yes...and you're also not very kind or humble. You might try telling the person who next compliments you that it embarasses you to hear it, but thank them and give them a small smile. At the very least, it would make them feel as if you weren't a total behotch...

I used to think like that. Now I just take it and say thank you. lol. I guess you should see how they say it and what and who. We all have a little bit insecurity inside. Just don't let it affect you too much.

idk idont really like it when guys compliment me either but idk its just who you are. i think its better to be a little shy about it than to be like "omg i know!" and let it go to ur head.
it can be insincere too. just go with your intuition.
