lightheadedness has a LOT of definitions so I can only explain those to you, tell you what each means and what to possibly do to stop your "lightheaded" symptoms.
1. If this usually happens to you only when you stand up or move your head suddenly, then you probably have a low blood pressure especially if you feel dizzy or like you're going to faint. Try eating a 1/4 teaspoon of salt everyday for a while This won't cure low blood pressure (you should see a doc about it eventually), but it can help a lot.
2. If your lightheadedness is more of a feeling of being 'off balance' or like your going to lose your balance or feel like you might fall, this could be an ear problem and must be attended to by a doc.
3. Think hard about this one: Does it sometimes feel like you can't remember the last few seconds or minutes? Do people sometimes tell you that you act like you're in 'another world' or some kind of comment like that? If so, you may be having petit mal seizures and should see a neurologist.
4. It might be caused by drinking alcohol. The reason alcohol gets a person "high" or drunk is because it cuts off the oxygen supply to your brain cells which is also why people have hang-overs the next day. Of course, if you've had any alcohol to drink, you're going to feel "lightheaded". However, the lack of oxygen to your brain cell from alcohol can make you feel lightheaded for DAYS; sometimes WEEKS after you haven't had anything to drink. So keep this in mind the next time you drink and watch how your body reacts for the next week WITHOUT ANY ALCOHOL.
There are MANY reasons for lightheadedness and it could be very serious, so keep a close eye on yourself and if it gets worse, GET TO A DOCTOR, okay?!
(please give this some thumbs ups if you feel I worked hard enough to deserve it - THANKS!

well, from my own view being light headed means there are certain things that your body system cannot carry, for example drinking more than 3 bottles of beer or smoking...

If you do not know what "light headed" is, then you are not light headed. You have too much time on your hands. Think about something else.
