Drink plenty of water before during and after the workout. Also wearing a light sweater. Get on tredmill and run for 2min and fast walk 2min do it for 25 min.

Burning all the calories you can while working out isn't going to help you one bit if you don't eat properly and gain it all back. While working out is a good idea for many things, you'd probably burn more calories from making other lifestyle choices than from working out. For example:
* If possible, spend a lot of time walking from place to place. If you walk a lot and at a pretty good pace, you'll burn up lots of calories.
* Be careful about the choices you make for eating. Avoid eating mostly sugary or caffeinated foods and beverages. Such food might taste good on the way in, but is a leading cause weight gain.
* While on the topic of eating, listen to your body. Don't eat food simply because food is there. Only eat when you are really hungry, and stop eating when you aren't hungry anymore. When going out to eat, don't be afraid to take leftovers home with you. You don't have to eat everything you see just because it is there.
* It's okay to indulge in "snack food", but don't overdue it. As with many other things in life, moderation is key.

Definately increasing your muscle mass (by strength training) will increase the metabolism boost you get during workouts.
Also, eat a little bit before (probably about 30 minutes before - a small fruit would be enough) to provide a thermogenic effect.
And doing intervals, alternating high and low intensity will boost the level of your workout. That is literally burning more calories by working harder.

Increase the tempo. If you have a step, increase the height. If you run, run uphill......
One thing that really helps even more then buring more calories is building muscle. Try strength training three times a week.

You Can also watch what you eat, avoid the fast food and eat five or six meals a day, small meals of course. instead of eating three large ones. Start out with a small breakfast eat something between breakfast and lunch repeat between lunch and dinner, if you keep eating this way your body will not be able to store fat and will start using your stored body fat.

Add intervals - periods of time where you sprint or go really, really fast (30 seconds to 1 minute) - to your workout.
Increase intensity by adding resistance or increasing tempo.

Use 3-pound ankle weights.
Also, speed up and slow down during your workout. I cannot remember the term for it, but it helps.
