Size is the last thing to come when working out. That is why so many muscle heads use steroids. Just do higher reps with lower weight and you won't get big, but you will be strong and firm.

It is not hard to do. I guess you want to have a good 'definition' of your muscles without much increase in the size. So first of all, burn the body fat as much as you can. Once the body fat is reduced, the shape ie "definition" of the muscle become visible. To achieve it, you should do aerobic exercise like jogging, cycling, swimming etc...I personally really prefer swimming over all other aerobics because its non-weight bearing and its very sustainable. Whatever exercise you do, make sure you do it for more than 20min from when your body starts to use your body fat as a source of energy. Diet is also important. Make sure you reduce amount of Carbohydrates in your diet-you tend to increase intake of them after exercise though. When you have reduced the mass of the total body fat, and you are still not happy about the size of your muscles, then you can go to the gym to pump them up. Generally it takes 6 weeks for the muscle bulk to increase dramatically, so you are quite in control of what you are doing. Exercise physiologists think working on a weight that you can repeat for 6-8 times is the most suitable one for those who want to increase just the muscle bulk ie "looking"(as compared to muscle endurance, recruitment which you don't really worry about). And you should do it for 6-8 times for each set. Twice a week gym section will be enough. Hope that helps.

Work out, exercise or work in a job with a lot of lifting. If you don't want to get bulky, just stay off of steroids or any other muscle enhancing drugs.

Your exercise regimen(weights or nautulis type machines) should be high repetitions (15-20) and low weight. This will keep a lean hard muscle without building bulk. Also plenty of cardio and a low fat diet. Good luck.

low weight/high reps is good advice as listed above.
Another option is yoga.

muscular density is genetic. if you don't want to get huge, don't worry about it you won't. in 26 years I've never seen anyone get huge by "accident" it takes decades of dedication and dieting...
if you limit your caloric intake it is physiologically impossible to continue to grow bigger, it's that simple...
