Real powerful example of an open mind, yeah right. I am sorry do you think that not believing something equals openmindedness? No , you can be so closed minded that you do not consider the possibility that you are wrong.I also see you like to say what God will do and what God will not do, really? Are you the messiah?
Funny thing is ,I think that role is occupied already, hey but there might be supporting roles open or perhaps false prophet.
Jesus is recorded as saying the exact opposite as you just said, so I guess that is going to be a real hard choice there. And independent thinkers can be independent of truth as well as falsehood, but maybe they think that independence itself will save them.Ultimate Truth is one, who told you that truth is many?
Sounds like you are not being independent there.
Are you independent of your own bias? and your own limitations?

I think that Jesus was a victim of child abuse by his father who just used him to serve his own purpose. God never spent any quality time with his son the way a father should. Consider that God let his son die without Jesus ever knowing why and Jesus was unhappy with him when he said, "Father why have you forsaken me?" Remember that God let his son die without even thinking that the majority of people on this planet choose not to be Christian and could care less about what happened to Jesus. Unfortunately God didn't think of that.

Jesus is my personal savior. Without him I can do nothing, but with him I can do all things through Christ that strenght me.
There is only one way to receive him and that is by accepting him as you Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-10
Heaven is real and Hell is to.
The question is were do you want to spend eternity? Heaven or Hell.
I will be praying for you. GOD BLESS!!!

My personal savior is the diet coke I drink every morning to wake up.
I'd love to spend eternity with christians so I can torment them. It would be very boring to spend it with free thinkers like me. I love disagreement and controversy to spice things up.

Many roads to God? Not what my Bible says. Not sure who your independent thinkers are, but it sure sounds like you're putting your faith in human ability. Have fun worshipping Man.

Good conclusion! That's why I've dropped christianity! Exactly, what's the point of Christ if you can go to God directly?! Anyways, count me as part of the independant thinkers!

Are you asserting that incidents like in inquisition, the crusades, witch trials and so on and so on (to call in basic terms a number of the non-contested ones) signify undesirable end results of Christianity?

Well, gorgeous, by definition to be Christian means that you believe that Jesus Christ is the one and only way to God. If a "christian" says there is another way, they are not Christian at all.
BTW, I'm a Christian...hardcore Jesus-lover all the way!
