Does he have a rain poncho to keep dry? If not, get one for him.

wow that's a touch one, hope it doesn't rain too much where you're at. this is going to sound silly and for those who know me will laugh, but my friend's mom had a westie who as a pup did this same thing and she went out with a large umbrella and the pup on a leash. he did poop outside in the rain under the umbrella. other than that i have no idea except bring him in and keep him out of his crate and watch for him to start finding a place to poo and when he starts to circle snap the leash on him and take him outside. usually once the poo starts it's harder for them to stop. otherwise, good luck until summer?

Hi Setter, I have a female corgie, that will not go out if it's raining. She came in,and pee in the floor. So i put her out in the washroom, and made her sleep out there that night. She did not like that at all.Next day it was still raining. i told her,and my other 2 dogs to go out,and pee or poo. She didn't want to go out at first,i told her,get out there, and go pee.She went out,and did her thing. So,that night in the washroom did the treat.I think you may have to walk you pup for a little bit,and he will probably go.Try both, and see. A Friend.

When you bring the dog in and it starts to sqwat to poop, gently but quickly scoop him up and place him back in the yard. If he finishes his business( in the yard ) praise him. GOOD PUPPY! GOOD DOG! get that excited voice when speaking, and than give him a treat. The next time he poops in the kennal say "NO" once, and once only. close the door with poop still inside and let him stay there for about 10-15 min.DO NOT SPEAK TO THE DOG WHEN IN THE KENNAL!!!!IGNORE IT! practice, practice, practice. Your dog will not get this right away, but it will learn. GOOD LUCK.
