my dad's friend is trying to get me with his daughter, I don't know her that well even though I've known them for a really long time, but anyways she looks pretty good and I would like to get to know her the main problem is just that the only times I ever see her are when our families have dinner together and its hard for me to mack with my parents around because the way I usually am around girls is alot different than I am at home, I also just feel weird with my dad watching, so I never really say much, also the girl seems to like me more than I like her at this point

Next time they're over for dinner or whatever, find some sort of common ground and invite her out to do something involving that. The easiest thing is a movie. If she likes you, and you find out what kinda movies shes into, you can talk about a certain movie and suggest to go to it later that week. Once your there, its time to mack.
I dunno though, if she likes how you act at home then maybe you should just stay that way.

Try to stir a conversation with her, (a topic that you normally discuss at home) for example, school, maybe??
Then, maybe she's good in maths and you say, well maybe both of you can study together.. And ask for her number, or skype number or email .. any contact will do... take this chance to talk to her and ask her out!!

Sometimes the best alliance is our neighbourhood girl. Maybe she could be a good bet. Get her mobile number, e-mail address. Talk to her, converse with her on phone. make appointment and meet her, secretly. You are lucky, she likes you, everything is in your favour. by secret mailing and secret meetings and going close to her, you can greatly enrich your love life. All the best
