Fill in the application form and bring it to the post office ASAP. They will expedite it for a charge of $60. It will normally be processed within three business days after receiving your application with the $60 processing fee. Otherwise it could take three or four weeks.

Now u can get Passport in fifteen days by paying a handsome amount of Rs.5000 extra or it may be more but u can get it definitely, to the office and with in fifteen days u can get passport .This rule is just 10 days old, i read it in the news
papers. By the way where u r planning to go i have got a passport if u wish i can accompanied u.

I think you can go to your post office and apply for one and you can choose to pay extra to get it sooner. My boyfriend had to get one not too long ago and they had different options on the application. kind of expensive!
