No. If it a really fancy place inform the Maitr de (spelling?) when you book and they will set the cutlery for the left.
There are cultures, mostly rural or recently rural, where this is considered very bad manners. Africa and the Middle East are some I know of. They don't have toilet paper and use their left hand so nothing done with the left not even passing over any object let alone eating with it.
But in 'civilised' countries or many urban areas within these countires it is not a problem.

I have never heard of it being bad to eat with your left hand while at any restaurant. It's more in how you hold your silverware than where you put it. I put my glass on the right side of the table so that I can drink without putting my fork down. Most people either don't notice or don't care. As for me, I wouldn't know how to eat with my right hand. I'd probably end up dropping food in my lap.

Why would eating with your left hand be considered ill-mannered? You should eat with your dominate hand and be comfortable with it.
Put your glass and eating utensils where it most comfortable for you.
Now, if you are bumping someone because you are using your left had, that would be considered ill-mannered (although, not intentional). You may ask to be seated where this will not cause a problem.
Enjoy your eating experience- no matter where you are ! :)

No eating with your left is not bad. Just keep your "wing" tucked in and be aware of the person next to you if they are right handed. If you try and change and eat with your right, you might embarrass yourself by spilling food on you lap or table. I was born left handed. And was slapped in the hand everytime I used my left hand. I am know right handed, but when tired or angry I switch back to left.

You'll actually have an EASIER time in this case. Continental eating styles have the fork in the left hand facing downward. I have to also move things closer to me because of my short stature. Etiquette includes accomodation, and if you need to move something it's perfectly fine. If anyone asks, explain your reason quickly. Mine is very obvious, so I usually don't have to, and I'm guessing you may not have to either.

Of course not! That's like telling someone who is tall that they are being rude because everyone around them is short. You can't help being left-handed and there's no need for you to use your right hand if you aren't comfortable doing so.

It is perfectly all right for left handed people to eat with their left hand. It's not like they're diseased or less than decent persons just because they're lefties.

No, it wouldn't be bad manners, silly. If you wanna talk about bad manners, try eating with your right hand and see the mess you make. Now THAT would be bad manners. :-)
