There are lots of sites on the net for companies that provide ostomy care supplies. Most of the companies that produce the bags produce a convex version for deeper stomas, so you might even be able to look at a different one from another company. Ask your grandma's doctor to tell you exactly what kind she needs, and then you will be able to compare products and prices a little better. Convatec is only one company that makes ostomy supplies, there are others on the market. Once you know exactly what type she needs, it will be much easier to shop around. You can search for online medical suppliers by simply searching for "colostomy supplies", and most are very good to provide the mailing in a discreet manner. I don't know how old your grandmother is, but Medicare should be picking up some of the tab if she is elegible, and some of the companies even work with Medicare for the billing. So just ask her doctor to be sure what you need, and then go looking to compare. good luck!

SGVmedical.com $48.95/box of 10. Also check in the phonebook for a local United Ostomy Association Chapter. They can sometimes help with supplies.

That's a shame that the prices are so high for a necessity. I deal with colostomies every day and never thought of the prices. Just check online.
